Position Overview

As an Automotive Mechanic at Corsetti Cruisers, you’ll be part of a highly skilled team responsible for building full restomods and mechanical systems on classic Toyota platforms. Depending on your experience, you’ll work in one or more areas—mechanical assembly, wiring, drivetrain installation, chassis setup, interior assembly, test & tune, and final delivery prep.

This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and the ability to work cleanly and efficiently on high-end builds.

Electrical & Wiring

• Layout and assemble 12V wiring throughout vehicle platforms

• Install harnesses, relays, control packs, audio systems, and aftermarket modules

• Route wiring cleanly for show-quality appearance and reliability

Chassis & Drivetrain Assembly

• Install axles, leaf springs, shocks, steering systems, brake lines, fuel systems, and cooling systems

• Fit and mount engines, transmissions, and transfer cases

• Assist with differential, suspension, and steering setups

Mechanical Assembly

• Install radiators, AC lines, serpentine systems, control packs, and accessories

• Perform drivetrain integration and minor fabrication

• Install braking systems, dash components, and gauges

​

Shop Standards

• Maintain a clean, organized work area

• Protect paint and parts during assembly

• Take photos for customer updates and internal documentation

• Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements, and shop protocols

Required Skills & Abilities

• Ability to read, follow, and execute detailed build sheets

• Strong mechanical understanding of drivetrains, wiring, and classic platforms

• High attention to detail and commitment to protecting paint, panels, and components

• Excellent time management and ability to hit project milestones

• Professional communication with managers, coworkers, and vendors

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

• Strong work ethic and dependability—on time, every day

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team

• Must provide personal tools (tool program available)

• Ability to handle the physical demands of working on full restoration projects

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Prior experience in automotive repair, restoration, or custom builds

• Experience with Toyota Land Cruisers or 4x4 platforms is a major plus
